http://www.qimo4kids.com/default.aspx >From their FAQ. *Q: How is Qimo different than Edubuntu <http://edubuntu.org/>?*A: Qimo was designed to be a standalone home computer for kids, rather than a networked classroom computer. The interface for Qimo is designed to be easy enough for a 3 year old to use, without having to navigate menus or manage multiple open windows. Also, Qimo will also run from a LiveCD, and doesn't require an existing Ubuntu installation the way Edubuntu does.I'm not 100% sure if it's based on Ubuntu or Edubuntu and I haven't tried it out myself as my kids are out of the country, but I plan on installing it on an old laptop I have around (and hopefully still works!) -- Patrick
