Last night, I had a play with Avidemux. I really am impressed by the edit facilities. In some ways it's fairly basic, but it does allow exact positioning of the cursor on a frame-at-a-time basis, and very accurate delete, cut and paste facilities. I've only tried it by inputting and outputting AVI files, but I found it far easier to use that Kino or OpenShot. Shame I have to use Kino to do the capture from my video camera ... would be nice if Avidemux offered a capture facility as well ...
