You can also change them manually: press ALT+F2, enter "gconf-editor"
into the box and press ENTER. Find the entry
apps/metacity/general/button_layout and change the entry. The semi-colon
in the entry indicates the title bar so:

close,minimize,maximize: is the standard Lucid order

menu:minimize,maximize,close is the old order (Karmic and before)
