For bug 278622, it would be preferable to enable Apport and have that report a new bug first, as opposed to providing a backtrace. There are already some crash reports against pan, and the retracer will automatically spot if this new crash is a duplicate of any of the existing crashers. To enable Apport, edit /etc/default/apport and change "enabled=0" to "enabled=1". Apport should then generate a crash report next time the application crashes, which you will find in /var/crash.
