They should do... I use Gobuntu on a day to day basis! But it's not good enough really. In fact it's not good enough for either camp as I've tried to compromise on this issue using it. I'm well aware that gobuntu/ubuntuwith "free software only" contains non-free software, specifically in ubuntu-linux-modules-generic in main or something. There's a bug filed somewhere. Having said that my desktop runs Gobuntu, my laptop runs gNewSense and I'm looking at moving my desktop that way, but it's non-trivial...
