Yep, it's a fair question and a difficult one to answer, it's also not
one the group has come to a definitive agreement on yet.

I'm not sure how widely known it is actually, but because distributing
the CD would mean distributing non-free software I don't think it
would make a difference to a lot of people. To be fair, as a free
software group it would be a bit hypocritical to distribute (and
therefore encourage) non-free software, particularly as there are free
alternatives. However, I tend to take the more pragmatic approach ;)
