I was able to add the second user, but then the following occurred:- sudo cp -a /home/valerie-tmp/ /home/valerie cp: cannot create special file `/home/valerie/valerie-tmp/.google/desktop/a1_sock': File exists cp: cannot create special file `/home/valerie/valerie-tmp/.google/desktop/a2_sock': File exists cp: cannot create special file `/home/valerie/valerie-tmp/.google/desktop/a3_sock': File exists cp: cannot create special file `/home/valerie/valerie-tmp/.google/desktop/a4_sock': File exists Valerie is, of course, user2 and the error was indeed repeated as shown, a1 being incremented to a4.
