if he is intending to use a wireless router it is entirely irrelevant which ISP he uses because it will be the router, not Linux, which logs into ADSL.
He may have issues with wireless cards, mind you, though the situation now is a lot better than it was 2-3 years ago... many now seem to "work out of the box" in a way they didn't then. Sean
