Personally I think this is all sounding far more complicated than it need do...
a) Put Windows drive as master and target drive for Ubuntu as slave... make sure it works... b) Boot up from CD and select "Install Ubuntu" c) When the partitioner asks, tell it to use the entire slave drive for Ubuntu. The thing will then whirr away for a while, write your grub MBR onto the Windows drive and you'll be done... ...I'd say it'll probably take about 1 hour. Sean
