https://wiki.kubuntu.org/UKTeam/>The problem was that my gfx card was doing
some wierd scaling. The resolution on the screen was 1280x768, but my desktop
was at 800x600 and being scaled by my card to the output resolution. I looked
all through xorg.conf and there was nothing about scaling, virtual resolutions
or metamodes so I don't have a clue what was going on, I guess it's just some
wierd nvidia thing. Under windows DVI -> HDMI cable worked fine. I'm just using
standard DVI -> VGA cable atm which works fine under Ubuntu and I probably
wouldnt be able to tell the difference anyway.
