I would think that is quite unlikely. Electrically HDMI is just DVI with
some extra pins for audio and so on (think SCART for the modern age).
HDCP is usually something that can be enabled when necessary, but isn't
always used. I've not come across an onboard HDMI before, but I do know
of others with nvidia cards with HDMI outputs that functioned entirely
normally.
