I always understood the definition of free to be as in freedom..... Although of course if someone decided to hijack plant.ubuntu-uk.org for the singular purposes of promoting a business which is in no way related to Ubuntu or FOSS (for instance, selling viagra!) then that would have to be dealt with.
Preventing commercial posting across the board seems a wee bit severe in my opinion, as like Nick says, there are people here who engage with Ubuntu in business related activities, and how would it be fair to prevent them telling us about it?
