Has anything happened that might indicate why it has stopped functioning? for example you changing some settings somewhere (such as changing an application from alsa to OSS or some such), installing an application or getting any updates? also you might want to take a look at the sound settings in alsa mixer (there should be a little speaker icon on your panel somewhere that you can use to change the volume. right click and goto open volume control, or alternatively run 'gnome-volume-control' from a terminal). by opening up the preferences menu (edit->preferences) you can enable extra volume controls. you might want to check that there are non muted that should not be. i don't have a digital output myself but i would guess you would need to enable some sort of 'digital' control to check ;) -- -- Gord ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) -- ubuntu-uk@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-uk https://wiki.kubuntu.org/UKTeam/
