That doesn't look right. As far as I recall Linux kernel 2.4 has never been shipped with Ubuntu. It's always had 2.6. Warty has 2.6.8 Hoary has 2.6.10 (2.6.11 in universe) Breezy has 2.6.12 Dapper has 2.6.15 Edgy has 2.6.17 Feisty has 2.6.20 What do you have in your /etc/apt/sources.list ? You don't have some Debian sources? Or was this machine once Debian and you converted it to Ubuntu? Cheers, Al.
