Hi everyone, my name is Kofi

I just installed the latest Unbutu 11.10 which I am currently using to access
the web now. I must commend the Ubuntu and Canonical team for doing such a
wonderful work with the interface. ITs a great job. I am, however experiencing
a few issues in getting 3rd party software to install on my PC. The software
center which handles all software and is associated with apt-url extensions,
cannot, in my case help me to install software from the web. I wanted to
install Skype, VLC, Picasa, Adobe Flash 11 and a few other software but when
the software center recognises the software, the install button is blocked
(unclickable) and as such cannot get the software to install. Is is s o with
the softwares also featured already in the software center database. How can I
fix this issue. AS at now am only able to install software via the terminal.
Help please.
