I am also experiencing this, or something very similar. I'm Canada. I very annoyingly lost my MX4 recently, and have just been transitioning to the MX5 Pro.
I can confirm that there appears to be less availability of bands on the MX5 Pro than the MX (frequently dropping to 2G or E outside of downtown Vancouver, presumably because any 3G is not used). I have also seen both Denied and "No Network" where that is blatantly untrue. I was in the middle of a phone-call with "No Network" showing. I am happy to add these details anywhere they are useful, and can troubleshoot if required.
