As suggested, I've turned this into a separate thread. This is a design proposal for phone locking/security.
The problem with phone locking currently, is needing to unlock your phone to check the most trivial of things EVERY time. This becomes annoying and many users disable the lock, leaving their phone with no security at all. My proposal is to only unlock the phone, when performing a restricted activity. This means the lock screen isn't so intrusive in day-to-day life, and more likely to be used, and what's the point of security features if the user won't use them, right? Anyway, a couple of mockups and journeys can be found at: http://blog.sambull.org/phone-app-lock Thanks for your time, Sam Bull
