"Very buggy" is subjective measure =) looking at [1] I can't see any
High nor Critical bugs.

I bit harsh. Try to brake it down into smaller chunks and file
seperate bugs if you believe it renders the package completly
unusable.

On the other hand please try the version that is already in Karmic
(2.27.5.0). You can do so by using LiveCD if you don't want to run
Karmic on your production machine before it is released.

If you really want new version in current release while development
release has never version consider filing a backport request. For more
details see [2].

From karmic point of view we already have bleeding edge anjuta ;-)

Note also that this list is for developing ubuntu and maintaining
packaging in universe. It is not a general place to request packaging
requests (new software / updated software). Please use
launchpad.net/ubuntu for that.

Have a nice day =)

ps

If you can't wait at all to file backports reports on the package page
[3] on launchpad.net there is also a version search across ppa's
(under the fold-out link "Other versions of 'anjuta' in untrusted
archives") which lists currently 3 ppa's and 2 of them have 2.26.2.2
versions of anjuta.

If you can't wait until Karmic and don't want to file and follow-up on
backport request spare all of us time and consider using of the
available updated versions in the PPA's ;-) [4,5]
