I agree. I use Audacity, but have not used 1.2.x for a couple of years. The original requester, Fred Drueck, said he 'experienced a number of bugs with the "beta" version...' -- but did not describe them at all. I think it might be helpful if those bugs can each be submitted to LaunchPad (and upstream, if appropriate), so they can be addressed. At this point, we do not seem to even have a list of those bugs... so there is no way to triage them, much less confirm them and then fix them! Fred: Please submit detailed bug reports to Launchpad for each relevant bug you have found in Audacity on Ubuntu. Include instructions on how to duplicate each bug. Then, provide the list of bug numbers here in this thread, so there is something clearer and more specific to work from.
