Hi Epic93dude I think this is great. Do you have any specific questions? One place to start that will be really practical is calling a few local IT companies and asking if they support Linux operating systems. They may say, "Oh, you mean Red Hat"? If that's the answer you get, this is a good sign. A better response is of course "Yeah. Which distro?" - but not everyone is perfect. Principals and teachers care about a few things: - educational value - reliability - maximising cost effectiveness They don't like: - things that require (lots of) teacher training - things that are unproven There are several schools that run their systems completely with free software. One is Albany Senior High School [1], here in New Zealand. Your best bet is to use your personal face-to-face time with teachers to spread the word. Eventually, a senior teacher/principal will ultimately be the one driving this forward in the school. Your job is to convince them to be the flag bearer of the project. Tim [1] http://ashs.school.nz/
