Hello Nick, yes we also have adjusted our German news with Matthew's link because in the link from linux-hero there were too less details. I think the base (BIOS and Laptop model) might be not Ubuntu-related. The question is: If you turn on ACPI-support are the settings always that aggressive in all distributions? It seems that it wasn't in edgy, as I read the news.
