Hello Gerry, and welcome!

In my opinion, the announcement should go on the -announce or maybe CC
to sounder. The forums are a great way to speak to the masses - we can
get you a sticky for this, and maybe even an announcement on the front
page. A few IRC channel topics could be changed too, maybe...

I'll be a little busy this week, so can't give the announcement itself
much time - but I'll help you get it out to the forums.
