The Ubuntu version is part of the title: "Getting Started with Ubuntu 10.04" > If it is planned to release updated versions between the Ubuntu > releases, what about naming them after their releasing date? So it is > very clear, which version is the last, without knowing anything about > name schemes? > > Example: > first release: Ubuntu Manual 10.04, release date 31.04.2010 > second " : Ubuntu Manual 10.04, release date: 15.05.2010 That's a reasonable suggestion. The downside is that given just the date of the version you have at hands doesn't allow you to say how many releases happened before. Then again, you would have an idea of how much time passed, making it obviously more or less worthwhile to look for a newer version. -- Thorsten Wilms thorwil's design for free software: http://thorwil.wordpress.com/ _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual Post to : ubuntu-manual@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-manual More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
