Hi All
I think i should make a statement here. What makes an operating system. The kernel as well as its utilities. Correct me if i am wrong. while saying linux we are talking of only the kernel. Then where is the mention of the utilities which make up the os. It is like mentioning the car engine which represents only a part of the car.

My phone has a ARM processor, the screen made by some other manufacturer, battery by Sony(probably), casing from some other company but at the end of the day I call it an HTC phone. That is how I call it even though it runs a ton of GNU tools below and has Linux as the kernel. I don't call it Linux/GNU/Dalvik/HTC

I do not protest that you should not call this GNU/Linux, what I am saying is that this discussion has been since time immemorial and hasn't yield any result till date. It is just a topic on which you keep on discussing just like we are doing right now.
