Dear Devel Team,

I installed on Ubuntu Artful the Inkscape package. If I wanne start it
from the prompt, it does dependencies error's ...

# inkscape

inkscape: error while loading shared libraries: libgtkmm-2.4.so.1:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

# ldd /usr/bin/inkscape |grep 'not found'

libgtkmm-2.4.so.1 => not found
libgdkmm-2.4.so.1 => not found

# ls /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtkmm*

/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtkmm-3.0.so.1
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgtkmm-3.0.so.1.1.0

# ls /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgdkmm*
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgdkmm-3.0.so.1
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libgdkmm-3.0.so.1.1.0

The Debian Inkscape control file does ...

line 24 libgtkmm-2.4-dev,

... the control file does not call libgdkmm.

What's needed firing up Inkscape? Will a simple Artful patch and
rebuild solve the issue?

And are there other packages depending libgtkmm & libgdkmm 2.4?

Thanks,

Frans van Berckel
