Hello Adam Maybe i can't express enough well, sorry me english
As you say in you web link, we use ncpfs-mount to mount a Novell Netware file system into our linux desktop. We can access to this mounting point without problems but... if we make some performance testing (copying files) from network to local we can check that Nautilus have a poor performance (3MB/s) versus a `cp` command in a shell (6MB/s). In our opinion this issue is due to lack of a gvfs-backend for this specific NCP connection. Why we say that?? We can observe that OpenSUSE distributions has an specific gvf-backed called nvvfs for NCP connections and performance in Nautilus and `cp` comand is very similar (6MB/s) Regards and thank you 2012/2/1 HSO <a...@biznes.linux.pl> > We can try implement some of > http://www.faqs.org/docs/linux_network/x-087-2-ipx.ncpfs.client.html > > 2012/1/31, eduardo romero <edur...@gmail.com>: > > Hello > > > > Sorry if this question isn't related to this list discussion > > > > ubuntu package gvfs-backends include several backends to different > network > > file systems (ftp, http, smb, ...) > > > > Now we are mounting a Novell Netware file system through ncpfs utility > but > > a specif backend don't exist for NCP novell network file system.
