Voting could also reduce noise from "me too!" comments. (On the other hand, there's the risk that the reduction in "me too!" comments might be outweighed by the increase in "this bug has X votes, why hasn't it been fixed?" comments.) >... >> I'm not sure if it is even possible to sort bugs by the amount of >> duplicates? > > Yes it is; in fact I have a script I'm going to make available soonish > which lets you do this with milestoned bugs. That doesn't require a script. For example, bugs targeted to intrepid-alpha-2, sorted by number of duplicates: <https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bugs?orderby=-number_of_duplicates&field.milestone%3Alist=1320> >... > I like these measurements a lot more than voting because they're > direct correlations. Remember that the number of duplicates is a function of not just how common the bug is, but also how badly the report is written. :-) Cheers - -- Matthew Paul Thomas http://mpt.net.nz/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFIdzD/6PUxNfU6ecoRAn3mAKDDGDMHxW2CUw/ZHce6N+6LxRiD1wCaAl0F 1QRE/IaMSC9oeSG150PSQEI= =6J47 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- Ubuntu-devel-discuss mailing list Ubuntu-devel-discuss@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-devel-discuss
