Dear Ogasawara

Thanks a ton for the response. I tried Intrepid Alpha 4 from a Live
CD. Here also, I had to disable (1) ACPI (2) quiet and (3) connect
through USB for internet.

Without doing all the above, it gave the following msgs:

(1) (196.856338) squashfs: version 3.3 (2007/10/31) Phillip Lougher
(2) (242.989027) ACPI: Battery Slot (BAT1) (battery absent)

and hung. Then I had to a hard-switch off and come out.

I will wait for 4th Sept and test Alpha 5 and come back to you.

Thanks once again.

With kind regards

Ramadasan
