I have the same problem. I just discovered that I can't play podcasts I have already downloaded after closing and reopening Rhythmbox because it is defaulting to /home/homefolder/. If I try to play them (without doubleclicking to redownload them) it gives the error:
"Couldn't start playback Problem occurred without error being set. This is a bug in Rhythmbox or GStreamer." or a null error. The file isn't found because the podcast folder keeps resetting itself. Aaaarghh! This is a dealbreaker for rhythmbox. I set my podcasts to a shared folder where I use a chron task to keep it world-readable, since there is no use to everyone who uses the computer having to download the same, large mp3 files to their personal folders. Since this doesn't work, I'm going to have to go back to banshee and just learn to live with the incredibly slow reload times everytime you change panes. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot-3.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/17052386/Screenshot-3.png -- podcast default download not correct https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/240571 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
