the backtrace you attached 'gdb-totem-xine' does not seem to be related to the first report. There is no indication about a crash in libxine1.so in the 2nd file. While the first one indicates a crash in somwhere in the function xine_get_system_encoding, the 2nd backtrace indicates a crash somewhere in the inner of totem.
