Also have problems. Running fresh install of 8.04.1 and my wireless Netgear WG111v2 USB adapter which has the rtl8187 chipset drops out on downloads (ie using transmission, downloading iso's, or anything of size).
This used to work perfectly on Ubuntu 6.10.
