I can confirm this problem. Since today i cannot login either. Yesterday this was working fine.
Using Hardy and Pidgin 2.4.1. This is probably due to changes in the protocol from icq's side. Look here: http://forums.miranda-im.org/showthread.php?t=18701 They state it is possible to solve this problem by "enabling md5". I don't know where to set this in pidgin, though.
