I should also add that I am using a custom-built kernel (2.6.24.7 from kernel.org), so if this is a kernel issue, I understand that the Ubuntu devs probably don't want to troubleshoot it. If it does come to that, I would like to see if I can reproduce the issue using the Ubuntu-provided 2.6.24-16 amd64 kernel before we close the bug. Thanks again.
