Public bug reported: Hi, I'm having this problem since I updated from Gutsy to Hardy 32bit. Hardy messes up the FAT32 partition on my mp3 player. I copy/delete files on it, unmount it, turn on my mp3 and find many files messed up/unreadable. Mount it again and find it to be a readonly filesystem. Mount it again and it is readable again, many files messed up/unreadable/undeletable and so on. Everytime I mount it a different problem. So I mounted it on my win xp partition, and found the partition messed up there too. Some files couldn't even be deleted, it went totally crazy(just like on hardy). Mount/unmount again, problem remains. I had to format the partition from win xp to have my player back to life. So now everything works if I do not mount the player in Hardy. Win xp and Gutsy both have no problems deleting/copying/handling files on the player, and do not mess up the partition. If I plug it in Hardy it's messed up again, and have to format again in win xp to clean everything up.
