I will not push further the issue , but you are missing my point and most likely you are not the proper person to answer.
Point is: ubuntu product plus kde packages is de jure (legally) still ubuntu product (and hence gets LTS support.), but de facto it is kubuntu (and no ubuntu user has reason to start looking on kubuntu site.) The kubuntu product may be different, but they have the same KDE packages. Both products are supported by canonical, the first one is supported for LTS the other not for LTS just because of KDE. Is it clear now? I really don't understand why the same packages are supported by the same company for 3 years LTS if installed within the ubuntu, but only for 18 months if installed within the kubuntu. Am I missing something?
