Trollord >From your answer I don't think you are trustworthy representative of ubuntu. You still avoided to say explicitly what I am asking for. 18 months of 36 months are supported the kde related packages in ubuntu.
How long is your "for the whole time as well" If that is 36 month as other ubuntu packages and kubuntu and ubuntu uses the same repository even (if they have different website) then why kubuntu is not supported for 36 months. You cannot be serious about "installer kludges of Kubuntu for the LTS months..." If kubuntu has no LTS tag it is not because of installer (which is the same as for ubuntu), but it is because of the kde itself. The only difference between ubuntu and kubuntu is what graphic desktop system is installed by default after installation. kubuntu is ubuntu + kde. It is something like kde remix of ubuntu. I don't think you have enough information https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/kubuntu-devel/2007-December/002066.html I am talking about kde3.5.9, which you can install in ubuntu as well. I don't care about kde4 for now. This is the proper place to clarifiy that. I still think the LTS tag on ubuntu website is still misleading, providing the kde is not supported for LTS, which I am still in doubt it is. ** Changed in: ubuntu Status: Fix Released => New -- misleading LTS tag for ubuntu 8.04 on main site www.ubuntu.com https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/222913 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
