it didn't work out of the box in Gutsy either. And neither in Gutsy, nor
in Hardy are the necessary packages on the CD. So, if you install in a
non-Japanese environment, you'll need to run language selector after
your installation and install the missing language support packages. If
you choose Japanese during installation, it should do the right thing
automatically. However, if the download fails, then you'll encounter the
situation you met.
