Same problem here with Hardy completely patched on a Thinkpad R52. Screen dims randomly when connected to the AC and goes back a bit when I press the mouse, but it goes back only to the 50% or so. I have to manually increase the brightness after that.
It dims after 10 seconds of not pressing any key, sometimes less. Gutsy was working properly.
