In the preferences menu, all events, music movies, and conferencing
are set to pulseaudio.

The default mixer tracks are set to Audigy 2 ZS (SB0353) (Alsa Mixer).
Track options:

Sigmatel OSS Mixer
Playback: Alsa PCM

and two capture methods both named with Alsa.

Still listening to music and the icon in the panel indicates muted.
