I have the mobility radeon X1400, and suspend and resume "work" always.
The only problem I have is sometimes there will be 100% (and I mean
100%) CPU usage on resume, but only when compiz is enabled. Another
interesting point is that this only seems to happen when I suspend for
long periods of time (i.e. overnight). The last two nights I have tried
suspending and in the morning when it resumes there is 100% cpu usage
and I must hard boot the computer. However, during the day I suspend and
resume multiple times without problems as I am out and about with
classes and such.
