Here the same applies, probably alsa-base actually. Same motherboard.
Hardware : AthlonX2 3600+ M2N-SLI Deluxe mainboard 2GB RAM Graphic card : GeForce7900GS. The problem can be reproduced both with my old Gutsy kernel, which is 2.6.22-14, and my current kernel, which is 2.6.24-16. So the issue does not come from the kernel.
