There isn't really a method to check the status of the upgrade.The fact that you say everything is running fine and u-m reconfigured the troublesome packages suggests it's probably safe to assume the upgrade was succcessful. If it had failed in some way you'd probably have noticed. I'll leave this bug report open for now. If you have any problems in the next few days let us know otherwise this can probably be closed
