The Niveus UR88A config file at http://lircconfig.commandir.com/lircd.conf/?viewremote=456 shows the same codes for the remote as the Marmitek UR86E config file I found at http://www.t3i.nl/myblog/?p=15. These remotes are most probably compatible.
In Mythbuntu Control I now have the remote settings as follows: Remote: Custom Driver: *nothing* Modules: lirc_dev lirc_atiusb Configuration: lircd.conf from here (http://lircconfig.commandir.com/lircd.conf/?viewremote=456) Device: /dev/lirc0 As a result, irw recognizes the following keypresses, before it stops responding 20s after startup.
