I am not making myself very clear, sorry.
Yesterday I upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04 Beta - had all sorts of issues (my usual
experience with upgrading the OS). So I did a clean install of 8.04 Beta off a
live CD. Synaptic, Update Manager, and Add/Remove Applications worked fine
until shortly after I got the printer going. (Which may or may not be
coincidental)
I am still a command line novice: once I have to step outside my cosy world of
GUI I have to have a step by step crib sheet to do stuff, so I have no idea how
to get you more information. To uninstall the printer I would have to know what
commands to use to remove all the packages via a terminal. It might be easier
for both of us for me to do another clean install?
