Maybe it's the same issue or a related one but my opl-sa2 doesnt work on dapper either. This is a quad boot machine (w98, suse, ubuntu and puppy) and the sound card works in everything but ubuntu. Mobo is an Intel AL440lx Sometimes the boot-shut down will show an alsa error message something about sound card not found. Sometimes I will not see this message, or it happens so fast I miss it. I absolutely love dapper but abandoned attempts to go wireless or use it with my palm os device. Wish hardware support was better.
