I disagree. I oppose this idea. A boot loader should be minimalistic and as simple as possible.
A boot loader should be silent, stealthy and invisible. It should not be complex. It should be simple and efficient. It should get control from the hardware/BIOS then as soon as possible, pass control over to the kernel.
