I don't have any idea but wait for this problem to get fixed, and then see if your card still has some problems. I also suggest that you look for similar bugs with the same nvidia card on launchpad, perhaps that you can contribute to these bugs as well and group them by finding duplicates, the case of your graphic card seems to be specific so I suggest that if you find people that have the same issues, you open a separate bug report concerning the blank screen issue.
