Well, it seems that i was wrong. The slowness appears also without the
bootsplash on a cold start. The video i made makes things clear

** Description changed:

  As summary says, enabling the splash screen makes hardy sit at the first
- splash (the bouncing one) for about 5 minutes. Removing the splash
- screen via grub fixes the problem. This happens from alpha4 (don't know
- if it could have happened before, because i was using gutsy).
