I have a Dell Latitude Cpi D300XT that was stuck in 800x600 mode when running XUbuntu 7.10. Analysis of the log showed that the video section was reporting a default graphic depth of 24 bits, making the card run out of memory at resolutions above 800x600. The fix is very simple:
In /etc/x11/xorg.conf change the line: DefaultDepth 24 to DefaultDepth 16 ...Reboot... New resolution: 1024x768 Done!!!!! -- Not getting full screen resolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/119561 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
