Aaron, thanks for doing the fix. I think we should apply this fix in the Ubuntu package. Most users do not install packages directly from upstream, so the reporter of this bug would need to wait another 6 months to get his printing fixed. And I will make a new HPLIP package anyway to apply Don's patches for the new fax device class (bug 59409). Can you post the appropriate patch here? Thanks.
